🐱 Caring for the Island’s Cats As adorable as they are, the cats roaming Ilha Grande are street animals and may face serious challenges when temporarily taken into homes. 

🐾 Because they don’t understand the constant flow of guests, they can get trapped, fall ill, or cause issues for future visitors. As part of our commitment to nature and animal welfare, we kindly ask that you do not feed them or allow them inside the houses. 

💚 If you love animals like our team does and wish to offer a permanent home, we have a pet carrier available for responsible adoption. This way, you’ll be protecting the environment and giving dignity and affection to a living being that deserves care.

Please keep furniture in its original place. Many pieces are heavy and may scratch the floor or complicate cleaning, which is mostly done by women. This care helps preserve the house and honors those who prepare it lovingly for each guest. 🙏

Keep doors and windows closed while using the AC. Units are not powerful enough to cool the entire house. Please turn off the AC before leaving to avoid damage and save energy.

Place your trash on Getúlio Vargas Street at night — collection happens in the morning. To help with sustainability, separate organic and recyclable waste. We handle composting and recycling. Trash bags are located in the kitchen.
